ABOUT THE ALA NGWA BRIDGE PROJECT

Introduction

There are many local, state, national, and international opportunities available to our people which they have not been able to access due to lack of information and necessary support to complete the needed processes and procedures.

Furthermore, some of them do not have the basic requirements needed to complete the said processes (e.g., National Identification Number (NIN), Bank Verification Number (BVN), Bank Accounts, etc.).

Some of those in small and medium enterprises do not have Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) registration, bank accounts, or memberships in key organizations which can support their businesses.

Ndi Ngwa Development Initiative (NNDI) through its liaison and field officers selected from the 7 LGAs will bridge the identified gaps by conducting community outreach services which will ensure that those eligible for the said interventions are captured and adequately supported.

Intensive community outreach services will be conducted from July to December 2025 in the 7 LGAs. Data of unemployed youths, micro, and small businesses will be collected and analyzed to facilitate the execution of the project. There will be a feedback meeting on 29th December 2025.

Key Activities

  • Registration of eligible candidates for ongoing state, national, and international interventions
  • Services for the registration of NIN, BVN, CAC, etc.
  • Services to open bank accounts
  • Data collection for unemployed youth
  • Data collection for micro, small, and medium enterprises
  • Providing support for planned health and social care outreach services
  • Sensitization meetings for land usage and reversal of retrogressive cultural practices

PARTNERSHIPS

NNDI will work with credible individuals residing locally and in the Diaspora and/or organizations to deliver its projects.

SUSTAINABILITY

  • There is an established operational system leveraging the liaison and field officers who are indigenes of the respective LGAs
  • There will be an office in Aba, where collected data will be analyzed and recorded to facilitate our services. It will also be used for one-on-one and group meetings.
  • NNDI will work with partners as need be.

FUNDING

  • NNDI projects will be funded by the annual dues and donations of its members
  • Funds will be raised through targeted fundraising events
  • Applications for funds will be made to individuals residing locally and in the Diaspora as well as organizations
  • In some cases, the beneficiaries may contribute towards the costs of implementation.
